Welcome to Mobile Windshield Pro

MOBILE Windshield Pro and Windshield Replacement would like to help you negotiate the often slippery slopes of auto glass repair and windshield replacement, something that can turn ugly and frustrating when the company you contracted with doesn't show up, or leaves a mess when they leave. It happens a lot in our industry because there are no laws protecting the consumer from untrained and unprofessional auto glass repair technicians who do sloppy work and ignore you when your new windshield begins to leak.

Our approach is simple, honed over many decades of leaving customers happy with our service. All of our technicians attend a sanctioned training school and must pass the safe installation certification test. Too bad the law does not require that, because it allows just about anybody to get into this business. Demand credentials from the company that is doing your auto glass repair work. It's that simple.

Our installers are trained and certified in the SCIENCE of glass repair and replacement

Yes, we can repair many windshields that have suffered minor damage from stones kicked up from the roadway. It's a simple process that is fast, effective and affordable.
Sometimes that damage is not repairable, and for that we offer professional installation of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) glass, the best quality parts you can get.

If we can't repair your windshield, we'll tell you right up front. If we can repair it, we will. That preserves the safety seal around the glass.

What do I do, use my Insurance or not?
Q: How is it possible that my insurance rates won't go up if I turn in a glass claim?
A: If you have comprehensive insurance you are insured against the possibility of things beyond your control, such as a rock tossed up from the road, vandalism, etc. Typically, this type of incident does not impact your insurance rate. Always confirm with your insurance agent to be certain.

Q: What is my insurance deductible and how does it work?
A: Your deductible is the amount of the bill that you will be responsible for. If your deductible is $250.00, then the insurance company will take care of the expenses above that dollar figure. You only pay the deductible once per incident. If you choose repair instead of replacement, many insurance companies waive the deductible. We will inspect your windshield and tell you if it can be repaired or not.

Q: Do I have to ask someone from my insurance company to inspect my windshield before I talk with any glass shops?
A: Not usually. You should call your insurance company and alert them to the damage but normally the insurance company will take your word (and the word of the glass technician) for the damage. MOBILE Windshield Pro Auto Glass Repair and Replacement will assist you in working with your insurance company.

We keep it simple! We do all the paperwork and bill your insurance company for you!

A Word of Warning!
When you call the phone number on your insurance card, you may not be speaking with your insurance company. You might be speaking to a middle-man billing agent, called a NETWORK, that owns a string of glass shops and leads you to believe that you are talking to your insurance company. They might try to steer you to their shops (a highly illegal practice in most states) by trying to scare you. They usually say something like this, "Oh, that shop is not on our approved list". In reality, the only shops on their "approved list" are their own or their partners. This practice of steering is illegal, deceitful and unethical behavior that is under official scrutiny and will hopefully end some day. Meanwhile, almost every state says that you have the right to pick your own shop.

Insurance companies contract out the nitty gritty business of dealing with individual customers so they don't have to. This conflict of interest ends up working against you, the consumer. Your best bet is to always ask for credentials from your repair shop and cultivate a long-term relationship with those you trust. Any good company will want to keep you as a long-term customer and they know the only way to do that is to provide honest, high quality service on every job.

The best way to avoid the pressure of steering by these unscrupulous NETWORK companies is to contact your insurance agent directly, or go to the glass shop you trust. If one of these companies does try to steer you, tell them that you are reporting them to the Attorney General of your state and then do it. Be sure to provide the name of the NETWORK company and the sales agent and the phone number. All consumers will benefit from your action.

DON'T REPLACE THAT WINDSHIELD IF YOU CAN REPAIR IT AND SAVE MONEY!
Repairing a damaged windshield makes sense for several reasons:

It saves money, by preventing the need for costly replacement, and it is very quick, inexpensive, long lasting, and convenient.

Road debris often strikes a windshield and creates damage in the glass. Unless the cracking process is stopped, it will continue until the cracks expand to cover large areas of the windshield.

Does Your Windshield look like this?

Rock chips and cracks can be called bullseyes, star breaks, or combination breaks.

How it Works - We Keep it Simple
Many insurance companies offer free repair if you have comprehensive (full coverage) insurance on your vehicle. Some insurance companies offer a "glass deductible" that is different/lower than your vehicle deductible. Typically, your insurance rates will not increase because of an auto glass claim. Insurance companies usually waive the deductible for repairs.

Rule of Thumb: Repair the windshield if possible. Replace the glass only if necessary.
